Quaid Cundall has been creating stories since childhood. Encouraged by his parents, his dreams and creativity flourished. He met his wife, Abigail, in the summer of 2023 online. There, a relationship began to bloom and they settled in Quaid’s hometown, located in Wyoming, in the fall of 2024. Quaid received a Christmas gift from Abigail, and this sparked thoughts of his own surrounding a long buried dream he had kept close for most of his life. That being the desire to make toys. What he had received that Christmas morning was Four Horsemen’s Father Christmas and Jacob Marley from the Figura Obscura line. Turning to his then fiancée he said, “if we can’t make toys like this, I don’t want to make them at all.”
In the next couple of months, Quaid discovered that Four Horsemen Studios was available for hire. Encouraged by Abigail, he sent them an email to find out more. The reply he received was more than he would have ever expected. And so began the conceptualization of Corsair Creations and their first line, “Tide-Realm Corsairs.” Once set in motion, there was endless work ahead of them. They had their dreams and their wedding to plan. On May 24th 2025, they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, and halfway into their honeymoon, they received the last of the three sculpt designs they were waiting for. That being Captain Karibdus.
The prototypes were in hand on August 15th of this year. After so many changes over the course of two years and the months of work that went into the creation of their line, Quaid and Abigail could hardly breathe as they looked at the prototypes for the first time. Since the public announcement, the community has been like wind to their sails, encouraging them along as they travel across uncharted waters. Corsair Creations will launch their Kickstarter in early 2026 and it is all hands on deck. Without the support of loyal fans like you, the Tide-Realm Corsairs may never set sail.
